Philly Minx was founded in 2009 by Rose (Velez) Miggins. Rose has been a Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Licensed Nail Technician since 1996. She has worked in various elite salons across the Philadelphia area prior to the birth of Philly Minx. She has a creative vision that is clearly expressed in her work. She believes that nails are a must have fashion accessory ... "you can LOOK like a million bucks, but if your nails are unkempt, you won't FEEL like a million bucks!" She strives to meet the needs of clients and treats all clients with top notch service.

"The 14 Day Manicure" is gel polish that comes in a variety of brand names. Shellac, Gelish, Gelac are just a few. They are all very silimar and provide clients the same result: polish that lasts at least 14 days & does not harm your natural nails. They are cured by UV or LED lights and are dry immediately.
So many things set Minx & Gel polish apart from traditional nail polish and airbrush designs. Besides ZERO drying time (yes...ZERO!!!!) and eye catching glamour, Minx is "green!" There are no harsh chemicals involved in the application or removal of the product. You just Minx and go! Minx nor Gel polish chips, smudges, or cracks (even if you have to dig for your keys in your handbag)! You can also do Minx or Gel polish on your toes. I enjoy sharing my passion for fashion with the world! I have been doing nails for 14 years. When I first stumbled upon Gel polish & Minx, I immediately knew the rest of the world needed to experience it. It is the answer to every woman's dream who prefers natural nails but hates when their polish chips. It is also a great alternative to hand painted nail art and air brush designs. I want women to have the convenience of having their services done in the comforts of their own home, or mine. I also cater to celebrities who may not have time to leave their hotel or their set to have their nails done. After wearing acrylic nails for 15 years, Gel polishes and Minx provide me just enough protection that I no longer require artificial nails.
When I am not "Minx'ing," I enjoy spending time with family & friends, traveling, and indulging in my other passion...make up ;)
